JLIR is preparing to launch its 2026–2027 League year with a public Kickoff Party designed to welcome new and returning members and highlight its renewed focus on early learning and literacy gaps in Indian River County.

“As we look ahead to the 2026–2027 League year, I am excited about the momentum we are carrying forward,” said JLIR President Chiaka Nwosu. “We are especially looking forward to welcoming both current and prospective members to our Kickoff Party, where we will come together in celebration of the next 35 years of service.”

To officially launch the new League year, JLIR will host a Kickoff Party at BigShots Golf Vero Beach on August 19th at 5:30pm. The event will feature opportunities to meet current members, learn about JLIR’s mission and community initiatives, and explore upcoming volunteer and leadership opportunities throughout Indian River County. This event is free and open to women interested in leadership development, volunteer service, and community impact.
