JLIR Creates Fulfilling Leadership Opportunities for its Members
The Junior League of Indian River offers so much more than local volunteering opportunities! Our League of leaders creates real change by participating in community-focused projects that directly benefit the people of Indian River County, Florida. By giving women the tools to lead, educating them about their communities’ needs, and helping them put their unique brand of creativity and skill to work, the Junior League of Indian River is making a big impact on Indian River County.
We’re Focused on What Matters Most in Indian River County
At the Junior League of Indian River, we live in the moment. To us, that means adjusting our focus according to our community’s most pressing needs. Our work is always evolving, and that keeps us on our toes, striving for progress, and preparing to take on whatever comes next. Each December, JLIR sponsors a Holiday Party complete with food, crafts, gifts and a visit from Santa benefitting Communities Connected for Kids (CC4K).
Our Bloom Bag Initiative
Our Bloom Bag Initiative provides care packages, “bloom bags,” filled with essential period supplies to students in local schools. During the 2025–2026 school year the Junior League of Indian River has donated approximately 300 Bloom Bags that have been assembled and donated to two schools in the School District of Indian River County, directly supporting students who need reliable access to period products.
